Major Star ‘Open To All Options’ Ahead Of Contract Expiring

AEW

NJPW IWGP UK (US) Champion Will Ospreay has commented on his wrestling future, with lots of fans currently speculating about the star’s next move.

Ospreay has not kept it secret that his current contract with NJPW is set to expire in early 2024.

With Ospreay recently making a number of high profile appearances for AEW, rumors have been swirling about the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion officially making the jump from NJPW to AEW.

Speculation was fuelled at All Out London, where Ospreay pinned Chris Jericho in singles action to pick up a huge victory.

Speaking with Cultaholic ahead of his All Out match, Ospreay made it clear that he hasn’t ruled anything out yet when considering his wrestling future.

When asked about potentially becoming a free agent, Ospreay said:

“I’m open to all options, that’s all I can say.”

Ospreay has been wrestling for NJPW since March 2016, when he joined the company’s CHAOS faction after Hiroshi Tanahashi, AJ Styles and Kazuchika Okada recommended him to NJPW.

Since then, Ospreay has become one of the most decorated stars on the roster, winning the IWGP World Heavyweight, US, Junior Heavyweight and NEVER Openweight titles, in addition to the 2021 New Japan Cup tournament, and the 2016 and 2019 iterations of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

In AEW, Ospreay has wrestled in affiliation with Don Callis.
