Jodi Rae Johnson, 43, Mohall, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at a Minot hospital.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1979, in Mohall, to her mother and father, Jim and Jo Ann (Ring) Gehringer. She was raised within the Tolley, Mohall, and Grano areas alongside together with her brother Jamie. She attended Mohall Excessive College and was concerned in basketball, volleyball, drama, and performed trombone within the band. All through her teen years she labored as a lifeguard on the Mohall swimming pool, taught swimming classes, and served as supervisor for numerous years. She graduated in 1998. She attended Minot State College and graduated in 2002 with a level in elementary training. She coached the Mohall Yellowjacket volleyball crew in 2001-2002.

On June 15, 2002, she married her highschool sweetheart, Thurstan Johnson, in Mohall. It was a phenomenal day with a beautiful celebration on the Mouse River Park. They spent their first 12 months of marriage in Gackle, N.D. Jodi taught the 2nd grade and was the volleyball coach for the Orioles, with Thurstan as her assistant, the beginning of a few years of them sharing the sidelines collectively. They made some fantastic friendships whereas there.

The must be nearer to household and the farm introduced them again to the Mohall space in 2003, the place they bought the previous Clarence and Doris Lund farm west of Mohall. They started educating in Westhope and shared their time between the farm and a house in Westhope. Jodi taught the third grade, and in later years, third and fourth grade mixed. She coached JH volleyball and helped lead a youth basketball program for the ladies, teaching practices and video games, and organizing journey groups to assist construct MLS ladies athletics. For the previous 4 years, she has been the MLS Pee Wee basketball coach, having the chance to educate each Aftan and Adlee. Gehringer, Rugby; father- and mother-in-law, Bruce and Norine Johnson, Mohall; brother-in-law, Trent (Stacey) Johnson, and their kids, Deacon and Drayson, Mohall; sister-in-law, Trisha (Bryan) Boyeff, and their kids, Boston and Brooklyn, Minot; grandmother-in-law, Theresa Ankenbauer, Minot; Godparents, Peggy Ring, Mohall, and Terry Johnson, Grano; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and associates.

Jodi was preceded in demise by: Child Johnson, who she is now mothering in Heaven; maternal grandfathers, Melvin Ring and Merv Knutson; paternal great-grandparents, Oscar and Jeanette Johnson, and Daniel and Mildred Gehringer; maternal great-grandparents, Joe and Margaret Mayer; and cousin, T.J. Gehringer.

Funeral: 11 a.m., Friday, Nov.10, 2023, at St. Jerome Catholic Church,Mohall.

Burial: St. John Cemetery, rural Mohall.

Recitation of the Rosary: 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, on the church.

Visitation: Midday to five p.m., Thursday, at Brose Funeral Residence, Mohall.

Memorials: Memorials most well-liked to Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue, St. John’s Cemetery or the Mohall Pool.
